Local Depot Station

I am building a train-connected base, geared around city blocks a-la Nilaus. As I started to get near the end game I was having massive congestion on my rail network... to the point that trains were backing up 10-deep trying to get into the depot. With an Angel-Bob game, there were just too many products to maintain any sort of long-haul 1-car setup. So I developed a local depot station; everything going any distance is carried by 1-4 Mk3 trains, and comes into the local depot, which requests 2 4-wagon trains full of everything that's needed locally. The Angel warehouses auto-balance with their neighbors via circuits, and they load local 1-1 trains (2 at a time) which take material wherever it's needed. The one pictured below is from my Mall, so it has a little bit of everything. One of my favorite parts is that the local trains usually end up grabbing a mixed cargo of 2-4 ingredients, which keeps the local network running fast and easy. I've built a bunch of stackers, but this reorganization has actually left me with needing FEWER trains than before. Gone from 10 1-1 trains down to 5, and getting massively improved throughput. My depots now usually sit with only 1-2 trains out on mission, and all the others hanging about ready for demand as needed.
