So, I don't know if https://www.factorio.com/download/experimental is region locked or what it is (I live in Norway), but I can't access downloads on that page. Here's what I see on the page (I have to manually enter the address, the link to this isn't on the stable version download page where it is for my American friends).


The game also won't update despite game updates and experimental updates being checked in the game options. So far I've been able to play with friends from America who can access the page and download/update to experimental versions who've sent me the files over Skype. It's pretty limiting, however, and it would be great if there was a fix to this problem (assuming it's not intentionally withheld from users in certain regions).

are you logged into the game/site?

did you buy the alpha?

that's all i would guess would be a reason why that would be...

The picture was too big, but if you copy the image url and paste it into your browser you can see all of it. My name is in the top right where the login button normally is, so yeah, I'm logged in. I also did buy the alpha.

Inexplicably that said free, so I tried to insert my upgrade code again and now it works, thanks a lot. This thread can be deleted, I guess. I didn't think to check that.

Nah, no need to delete, think of the next noob that doesn't know why it isn't working, this will stand as a way to fix the problem without bothering anybody

Yeah, that's true. Here's to hoping my problems will be helpful to people in the future.

I am having a problem with this, but I have already entered the code as mine was a prepaid one. It shows up with Transport Belt Repairman. Please help.

There are currently no experimental versions, wait a couple more weeks.

Actually 0.11.3 is released.
