I guess the plausibility here would be centered around whether or not Forcefield Projection and/or Hard Light are in existence in the game's universe. (Since there's no current evidence they exist in ours.)
I would tend to think not, as it hasn't appeared in stock in any form, or if it is, it requires immensely large equipment and power requirements (i.e. starship sized).
Alternatively, if you want to take a looser, but more realistic (to our time anyway) approach to this, then it's possible (though still not very plausible) to use multiple lasers to ablate the surface of the projectile, and change it's course that way. The looseness and plausibility problems of this come from the fact that liquids don't ablate like you would need for this, and the power needed would be (much) more practically used to boost the range of the current laser turrets.
A more plausible version would simply be a laser-based projectile interdiction system, that uses the actual effect of high intensity lasers on liquids to disrupt the projectiles mid-flight.
(Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate the high-speed footage of droplet laser ablation that I'm referencing in the plausibility analyses.
