I think it would streamline the game experience a lot if you could set the game to let Ctrl-c/x, alt-u/d etc. override what you are holding.

I find it a constant annoyance to have to press q to before I can use mentioned shortcuts, so I suggest to add a checkbox that lets you change this behaviour. (If there already is one, please tell me where it is.)

This was fixed just a few days after I posted the thread, sorry for dragging my feet in marking it as fixed.
