Factorio Forums

Suggest ability, both/either in the main view, minimap, or full map, to ping a location, making it show up somewhat flash-ily to all players. Similar to RTS games like Warcraft 3 or Starcraft 2. This would allow better coordinations.

Additionally, I would like players (and vehicles they are in) to have some kind of more visible indicator so as to make finding other players easier. They blend into the background too easily unless they move.

He says WC3 and SC2 and doesn't even mention the game factorio looks like... Command and Conquer (Damn it EA)

Anyway. I do support this idea, I would love toggable cords on the minimap. Being able to ping to your friends, maybe even adding a feature to draw on it to give people directions.
