How to configure the division by the networks, or does it even work?

I have a problem dividing LTN networks.
I have two railroad networks that are not even physically connected.

The first network I didn't assign to any number. I left it default.
But the second network I tried to assign to the different number in attempt to separate them.

In manual it says that you must define the network number to assign station to different network.
I tried two ways to do that: just set the number of the network to be like 100, as well as I tried binary, like 0x1111111.
In the second option it just converts the number of the network to 286M.

And yes - I assigned all the stations in the second network to the same number with no success.

I have a theory that I also must explicitly define the first network too, but I would appreciate if I shouldn't do that since the first network has like 200+ stations.

And I have a suggestion, already: if the networks are not physically connected, then automatically assign them to the different networks.
It is useful, because I leave the template stations on the map that are not engaged to the real networks in any way, and I have to switch off the combinators in attempt to force the LTN to forget about these stations.

I believe this should have been posted in the LTN forum.

0x11111111 is hex, not binary, and it is indeed hex for about 286 million. If you are using multiple networks, the simple arrangement involves setting exactly one bit, and yes, must set the network for every station. Optera has pointed out that mods do not have access to the pathfinder, so they have no way of knowing if two stations are connected by rail. (Under certain circumstances, you might be able to get away with not setting the network ID for either all requesters OR all providers, but I wouldn't count on this.)

There's a nice sticky called "Encoded Network ID, how does it work?" in the LTN forum; I recommend reading that.

Accidentally posted it not in the LTN forum. If possible, please transfer this topic.

But yes, thank you. This is what I feared. I was hoping that I don't have to set up the networks for all the stations, but only for those I want to separate.
