i put 2000 hours into factorio, and stopped about 2 years ago, should i just wait untill v1.0? i am not trolling, i just want to know if its worth waiting for v1 or if playing now will be just as

It's a matter of personal preference.
Do you want to experience the game as a finished product, less likely to change in a significant manner ? Wait for final release.
Do you want to experience the game asap, with the disadvantage that you will experience changes, maybe bugs ? Are you willing to wait for your favourite mods to update (if their author is slow updating them), redo your favourite layout because of a game mechanic change, ... ? You can download latest unstable, and enjoy yourself.

The game is continuously in a highly playable state, with occasional gamegreaking bugs that are usually very quickly fixed between two unstable releases.

AFAIK the game is effectively feature-complete - I wouldn't expect anything significant to change with version 1.0 at this point. Mostly just bug fixes, possibly a few balance changes, but if I understand correctly 0.17 is basically going to become 1.0 once it's stable.

No, there's still (at least!) 0.18 with the finished campaign, maybe even more.
(Or are there new informations I didn't get? )

Ooh that would be awesome to get more "new campaign" - I thought the NPE released with .17 was that but it's... well, a little lacking, and really shows off a totally different Factorio than the one most of us really play. And there were plenty of cool things in the original campaign that should be reworked and polished rather than just dropped.
