Profounds Dedicated Server Idea List

Well Hello o/ My name is profound and this is my first post on this forum
My idea was a dedicated server. it's maybe already an idea, But I will shoot here some idea's for the dedicated servers
- Spawn on a random area.
- area protection.
- regenerating forests
- regeneration/restock all ore's/oilfields.
- Admin ranks to execute commands.
- Mod Support!

- Whitelisting! This maybe making more sense when the game is on steam.
- Plugin support (server sided (Like
bukkit is for Minecraft))
- Configs, People like configs for all kind of things!
- More Idea's added later!

Which of those is supposed to relate to dedicated servers?
I see a lot of unrelated mod suggestions (mods work on MP just fine AFAIK)
I don't get the "configs" line. The closest relevant thing could be syncing mods between clients if requested?
Whitelisting could be done in firewall (which you probably need to touch anyway to set MP up) for now
Spawning on different locations will sure come later on, when more player "forces" will be available.
Thinking about it, it actually makes sense that everyone emergency-landed on the same spot.

Configuring "Admin" account / privileges could be an useful MP idea.
Don't see much reason why that should be anywhere high in the priority list, though.
If you'd like to discuss that, better do that in a separate one-topic thread, where people would notice it.

I would prefer to have those suggestions either each as single thread (look before, if there is not something similar suggestion or mod!) or a bit more grouped. Cause as it is yet, this is nearly worthless for the developers, because they have to guess, which is meant in what context.

I've poked the devs with the idea of a dedicated server before. It's not something that would be easy to do with the multiplayer game as it stands now, but it is something I would really hope to see.
