Does anyone know how to cancel it I accidentally started solar researched before I could research rockets.

Please I really need to know a fix I have tried.

Destroying the lab
Building a second one

Simply start researching something else, it will immediately switch over and you'll lose any progress you've made towards what you were researching previously
ie, while researching solar open the research menu and start researching rockets, you'll lose all progress you've made with the solar research and when you want to start it agin you have to start from scratch

I'm still farely new to this game how do I change it?

Ah, if you don't know how to open the research menu try using T, it's the default. you can change it and see all of the other controls by pressing Escape (Esc) and then going to Options and then Controls

also I noticed you added [Solved] to the subject line, if you intended to change the topic title you have to change the subject of the very first post

edit, if make some other mistake ingame and you wouldn't think it was cheating Factorio creates autosaves for you
