Some people can't get Factorio 0.17.17 in Steam despite activating beta versions

Cannot get 0.17.17 on steam.
[Koub] Update for clarification :
Despite having the 0.17.16 installed on Steam, and unstable versions activated on Steam, the 0.17.17 seems unavailable for OP. See viewtopic.php?p=416273#p416273 for proof

Well for some reason the list of available Steam betas seems to be outdated in your steam client. Restarting Steam might fix it. Otherwise you could try changing Steam->Settings->Downloads->Download region. (Might also need a Steam restart to cause Steam to update).
0.17.17 is available in my Steam beta tab, and was 24 hours ago when I posted my previous comment to this thread, so so whatever the cause is, it doesn't seem to affect everybody.

That is exactly how my Steam looks. I have it set to "latest" and have 0.17.17. If you have it set to "latest" and don't have 0.17.17 then there's a problem with Steam upgrading the game. I suggest backing up all of your saves and wiping and reinstalling.

restarting Steam? (but actually restarting, not just closing the window and opening it again)
relogging to Steam?
restarting your computer?
reinstalling Steam?

I don't see how deinstalling/reinstalling the game would change anything for Steam. If you want, I could make a separate topic in Technical Help subforum by moving this part of the discussion there.

Yes please. I solved it by installing factorio outside of steam. But i like steam. I'd like to use it to launch factorio and manage versions.
