[kovarex] [0.17.16] Splitters dont fully compress belt

The splitter behaviour changed from 0.16 to 0.17. Standard belt balancer designs fail to fully compress a belt. Side loading and compression by inserters works fine.
(may be the same thing as this: viewtopic.php?f=7&t=67815&p=413594&hili ... er#p413594)

You find an example in this thread:

(most simple case: see my last post on the first page, "simple" 6 to 4 splitter)

Thanks for the report, it is solved (together with bunch of other bugs) by a (hopefully) "final solution" kind of a bugfix related to splitters and compression for 0.17.17
