[0.17.14] Can't place ghost of splitter over belt

I'm using basic belts from bob's here but I don't think it would be different with normal ones. Placing splitter normally works without problems.

Thanks for the report- that's working correctly. The ghost collides with the belt as you're seeing in the error message.

So ghosts can't do the same thing as manual placement?
If thats by design then ok - it seems a bit inconsistent.
