LED display by using laps

I'm trying, to build LED display by using laps and two mods (Power-Switch and Smart Circuit Systems) but I have two problems.
1. Lamps do not light up all at once. After using hundreds of them, time between first and last is few seconds.
2. Lamps do not light up during day.
Is that any way to change that? Maybe mod or something?

For the second you can switch to night in the console. https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/inde ... a_commands

For the first: I think not. I'm sure, this is deep inside the code to spare CPU time. Make a suggestion.

I am afraid that might be a new feature of 0.11 ?
"Lamps turn on gradually instead of turning on all at once"

Maybe you can use furnaces instead of lamps?

game.freezedaytime()

Use when game time is as dark as you like.
