Railroad crossings

I love trains. I hate having to zoom out every time I want to cross the tracks. So I'd like to suggest crossings. You'd place them on pieces of track and they'd close as a train enters/is about to enter the track section and stop players from walking over that part of the tracks.
This is of course nothing important, but would help me stop panicking around trains and I think it'd fit in with the industrial style and the new gates very well.

As long as it's not a two way track (trains go both ways on the same track) then you can easily drop signals along the track that will indicate an incoming train, in addition to allowing more trains onto a stretch of track between intersections and stations.
If you *are* using two way track, not much you can do about it. You can zoom out, or you can ensure the whole track has radar coverage, and look at your map.

Gates will open quite a distance ahead of an automatic train, so placing some of those in strategic locations could serve as a warning of sorts.

I think it's a good idea, or at least a whistle post (a sign beside the track that forces the train to sound its horn).

Advantage of an actual crossing would be that it's not just a warning, but would actually stop anyone not paying attention from killing themselves. Especially if you have tracks running everywhere, and have to walk over them constantly.

Erm, yea, real world people that aren't paying attention get killed at crossings all the time. e.g. almost every accident involving a train and a vehicle. (Most of the rest are people being retarded instead.)

But it would be Cool and better because its Really hard if u have like 30 Trains all Crossing your Main way to your factorio and u always need to look if one comes

Or make some Sensor what u can build in the Rail or an Special rail and make it like an Network with the Green or red one
and if a Trains hits this Sensor the Light Turns on(red) and if he pasts the Second sensor then it turn off
Would be cool when that works
