Changed inventory sorting in 0.17.[456]

Just updated to .6 (before, I was on .3 since no auto-update… only updated for Infinite Technologies mod :D)

And suddenly, the whole inventory became much more messy. Blueprints (always weird, no detectable logic for their sorting order) that stuck close before now are all over the place. Example, I have a couple (four) blueprints which have just a yellow belt as icon (two are just pieces of belt). Before update, these four were right next to each other. After the update, I get these in three groups of one, two, and one items.

I checked .4, .5, and .6 release posts but… no mention of "order" or "sort", and no, I didn't slog through *EVERY* item. Not my job, me being a customer, you know. So, which item had that effect?

There has always been a menu option if you want your inventory sorted or not

Which isn't the point.

The point is that you're too lazy to check your interface options. The game can't help you with that

Uhm, no. Reread the OP. He likes an organized inventory, with everything sorted. The new version altered how blueprints are sorted, such that they are no longer all grouped together like they used to be, and instead end up seemingly randomly distributed in his inventory.

This is annoying. I agree, I prefer organized inventories.

Your suggestion is useless, because you are saying the solution for a disorganized inventory is to disable the organization option, kinda like if someone says "My room is a mess, help me clean it please" so you go in and dump out a few boxes of legos to 'Help'"
(Sorry if that seems a bit caustic)

That option is useless for what he is asking.
