[0.17.2] [bug] Fluid animation flowing in the wrong direction

Started a new world to check out everything that has changed and I noticed that the water flowing through the pipe to the boilers is flowing in the wrong direction. It is flowing from the boilers to the offshore pump.

It's a relatively minor bug but can get confusing later in a game when you are trying to sort problems out. I have not tried it out with any other liquids and will modify my post when I get to their.

Edit: crude oil, light oil and heavy oil all exhibit the same bugs.

look at paulizleet videos for details.

I've noticed this as well, but should specify that it's the *animation* that plays in reverse while the fluid itself is flowing the right way. I've tested on a few fluids and with a few different pipe configurations and I've found that it's not always reversed, but the direction is inconsistent if the pipes aren't straight.

Here is a straight-pipe configuration, showing the fluid flowing the wrong way

And here is a bendy pipe showing how the direction is not consistent between vertical and horizontal pipes.

Well paulizleet, you just expanded and clarified it a lot. Thank you for adding so much to the post. You are right in that I should have specified the animation.\

I edited the title to clarify the bug.

ok. thank you Dominik. I tried looking for another post that also described this problem but could not find it.
Thank you for fixing it.
