Electricity problem

I built a water based power plant, and my whole base currently use about 1/4th of it (the rest of the steam engines are almost always idle), but most of my machines still operate maybe on a 60% scale (like, every other electric furnace and assembling machine).

I tried google it but can´t find any reason why this is happening, but I still got a feeling it is some newbie problem that is extremely easy to fix and I´m just stupid, so I don´t even bother to post screenshots.

That isn't much information. Steam power has ratio of 40:20:1. That is 40 steam engines, 20 boilers and 1 offshore pump. So run the water through 20 boilers and then only connect two steam engines to each

Make sure all steam engines are connected with power poles

if you click on a power pole, to bring up the energy stats window, does it show the "Satisfaction" bar at the top as being 100%? If not, then you arent satisfying all your power demands. And if you have idle steam engines, then i'm going to guess some arent connected using power poles, as Serenity suggested.

Sorry, I didn´t give out enough information. I do know the basics about the electricity, I use the factorio "cheat sheet" so I know about the water steam ratio.

Below I include pictures, one with the layout of my steam factory (you can see only 1/4th of them are working), one of my electricity usage and one of my machine functioning on 50% efficiency.

You have separated networks, fix the disconnect and it will work.

I reworked the whole power poles network and it started working, thank you very much :)
