Entity icons for stack equations

Hi. Just a month of game experience so still a raw beginner.
Need a simple way to manage game play so relying on math to summarize how entities are being stacked.
That is, the s1 science packs come from the stack equation: m1(ir)→a1(۞)→a1(cp,s1).
In other words, iron ore to iron plate to gear wheels plus copper plate to create a stack of s1 science packs.
And s2 science packs via the stack equation: m1(ir)→a1(۞)→a1(ir,ῼ,↔)→a1(╬,s2).
Thus, iron ore to iron plate to gear wheels plus iron plate plus circuits to create inserter plus transport to create a stack of s2 science packs.
Note, ۞, ῼ, ↔ and ╬ are extended characters … entity thumbnails with names in tooltip would be better.
I'd rather not cut and paste the 100s of entity icons into OpenOffice table cells embedded in OpenOffice text lines … any thoughts?
