[0.11.1] game.settiles() doesn't render changes immediately

When using game.settiles() the land tiles are actually changed but they don't update visually for what seems like a random amount of time.
It can easily be seen by doing the following:
Install this mod: https://forums.factorio.com/forum/vie ... =14&t=4973 (the 0.11 version)
Give yourself some landfills: /c game.players[1].insert({name="landfill2by2", count=50})
Place them over some water
At this point you can see the land has changed (you can walk onto it) but it still shows that it's water.
