Since this isn't a game suggestion, I put this topic here.

Would it be possible to add public chat rooms to the forums, similar to PM, but you can chat with anyone, like a TeamSpeak Lobby.
Each Thread on the Board Index would have its own chat room.

nice idea, but the answer is, use IRC oder PM

The official IRC channel for Factorio is #factorio on irc.esper.net

You can use an irc program like mIRC, or use the webchat here, just choose a nickname and you can speak to all the nice people living there.
