So they decided to discontinue Evolve, which was the only way me and my friend knew how join in game for a multiplayer session. Can someone suggest an alternative that supports factorio?

We are a bit lost, now that we dont know how to set up our games.

Next version should come with Steam matchmaking support, which should help people unable to setup a multiplayer game for various reasons.
