I play sea block mod pack and get o point where fps droped to 40-46. My map has roughtly 10k of manufacturing plants(assembly machines, chemical plants, algea farms etc), and about 30k inserters. Mostly it is belted.
PC spec is i5 7500 @ 3.4 ghz, 16gb of rams, 1050ti gpu. Rask manager showsthat my cpu sits at 35-40% load and gpu almost idle.
Do factorio use single core only?

Mostly single core. a few things run on a separate core, but most of the game logic is single core.
