Installed version 0.11.0 and got following error:
Duplicate key names.
Logfile indecates following:
82474.604774 Info C:\Factorio\src\Util/Logger.cpp:141: 2014:10:31 18:10:58; Factorio 0.11.0
82474.608373 Error C:\Factorio\src\Util/Util.cpp:38: F:/GAMES\Factorio\data\core|locale\de\core.cfg(697): duplicate key name

It seems like there is a key-check on the cfg-file for duplicated entries (similar to a properties-file) but you need duplicated names.
I asume there shoulden't be a check, but just in case following keys where duplicates:
cancel
move-up
version
crafting
connect
title
mods
time-played
set-filter
move-down
name
building-while-running-text
kills
inventory
speed
normal
ammo
pause-game
play
game
performance
building-while-running-title

Testet with version for Windows x64
On Windows 7 Professional

With languages de/en

Installing in same directory (with previous version in it)
Installing in clean directory

Used .exe

Same issue here (same error message and folder). Language: German

Checked with update (checked "lock for experimental build" and restarted). Same thing again.

Friend checked it with .zip -> it works

The first two lines must be deleted
And this one is wrong (anybody translated the directory-path ^^):

"Schriftart" needs to be changed to "fonts"
And at least a little mistake in translation (but don't cash the game like the other one):

Someone posted this. It solved the problem. Just change the lines in the .cfg file.

For german a clean install (really clean including deleting the factorio-folder in Users/NAME/AppData/roaming (be sure to save your saves first)) do the trick. it then works.

Dos not work. If I change to german I get the error. So I go modifing the files

As Philip pointed out:
- Deleting the AppData/Romaing/Factorio-Folder works

So now it won't work for you?
Test the zip

It is fixed in 0.11.1 I believe.
