It seems that one of the following happens when starting the game:

• Crashes on startup with no error message;

• Crashes on startup with an error message saying "Unexpected error occurred...";

• Crashes on startup with an error message saying that it could not load sprites and suggests this is because there is too little video memory;

• Crashes after selecting a load game with no error message.

According to Windows, I have 1GB of video memory.

It crashed because the OS could not allocate the requested memory, closing other programs when starting factorio should help with that. NaB.
