Max following bot count is off by one?

I have noticed that the follower bot count upgrades get to a total of 9, then proceed at steps of 5. This means there is always a bot being destroyed if you want to use all your follower slots. I wonder if this was meant to get to 10, then step by 5 to use all of each capsule.

It lines up vertically for me, but what is worse is that it is both an odd number of copies of the sentence as well as not a full last row...
