Power to the Belts

Others have raised the question before as to how belts can operate with no electricity. Here is an idea on how to make belts require electricity but not disturb existing game play too much:

Idea: Belts conduct electricity! That way only one end of a long belt need be in range of a power pole, then all other belts connected to it would be powered.

Cons:
-annoying in early game
-you'd need only 1 power pole to fuel your main bus, it doesn't add interesting gameplay
-belt doesn't need nerfs

You can imagine that Stirling engines are included in belt, making it move due to the difference of temperature between the air and the ground.

This was established a long time ago: belts are powered by hamsters.

There is no way to stop the belts.

I demand that the hamsters are powered by nuclear batteries.

Ah, yes, that's how we got them to power blue belts. Carry on.

[Koub]Please, the veterans, stay on topic :)

@OP :
If you just need to be able to shut on and off the belts, then circuitery is what you need.
If you just want to add the need of electricity to the belts, this won't happen (and I encourage you to search a little in this forum for the "why" : this has been discussed a LOT through years.
