I have a corrupt chest in my save game and can't acces it

Like I said in the title, I know that one of the chests in my game contains a stack of 400 iron plates. Since I rebooted my factorio I can't open the save game anymore. The game crashes on loading and the .log file doesn't seem to say anything noteworthy. Is there any way I can recover my save game or make sure that that chest is deleted?
I have also tried converting it to a scenario so I can edit it in the map editor, but i get the same error. I would love to not lose my savegame..
