I created an account on the official Factorio wiki. I didn't take any special precautions like writing down my password, as it is so easy to get passwords reset these days. Last week when I went to log in, I had forgotten my password but I couldn't reset it. I checked the wiki help, and it says there is supposed to be a button that emails a reset code to my registered email account. Sadly, the log in page for the official Factorio wiki does not have the reset password button.
Is there any way to get my password reset, or will I have to create a new account?

Sadly we cannot have the reset password option visible to everyone due to potential abuse. I can reset passwords though, so just give me your email or your wiki username and I will do it

Is it also possible to edit the username to be all lowercase?

The first letter has to be uppercase, sorry.

g'day. I can't seem to give the wiki to let me do an automatic account recovery, and apparently I never recorded the password...

so, could I get a password reset for username `slippycheeze` on the wiki, please? feel free to hit me up on discord, if you wish, for whatever.

PS: I hope this is how to ask for one. t'was the best place I could find to ask, so maybe a link or something on the login page would help?

A friendly moderator pinned this topic, for now that has to be enough. In the future, I hope to have the reset password page publicly accessible without having to worry about potential abuse.

It looks like resets need to be done by username, so I reset the password of "AmericanPatriot" (see 87896). I apologize for the delay, apparently I missed your post before I went on vacation :/
