[kovarex] [0.16.41] Crash When Loading Modded Saved Game

The game is crashing when trying to load any saved modded game. Strange since I was playing this last night without issue.

Im running in to the same problem as the OP. played the game for a few hours today. logged of for a few hours. came back to it and the last three saves (_autosave3.zip latest of the bunch) wont launch. a older (working save.zip) save does launch.

Experiencing the same problem. game worked fine last night.
Factorio version 0.16.41

This would actually appear to be related to viewtopic.php?f=30&t=60074

it seems to be occurring more and more, I've now witnessed it in 3 different saves and waiting on the release of 16.42 :(

Yes it does. Looks like a fix is already set for the release of 0.16.42. I am just glad I can add more examples for the devs to look at. Thank you guys for your support!

I don't see how your issue is connected to the failed rail sanity check of Nabal.

I do not know if this helps or not, but I am supplying the crash logs after updating to 0.16.42. I expected the game to crash with the same save file provided above. Anyway, just seeing if I am helping. :)

I am currently experiencing a crash when loading a savefile and I cannot tell from the log what the precise error is. I thought it was similar to what others were experiencing relating to the rail signals, hence my post in a 0.16.41 bug report (viewtopic.php?f=11&t=60074&p=361097#p361097), but it seems that was not the issue I was having.

I've attached my crash log as well as mod-list.json, and here are links to my failing save file as well my entire mods folder zipped-up (both were more than 100MB, so I figured you'd appreciate external links vs. forum attachments).

One thing that may or may not have some relevance is that I have explored extremely far in one direction (east) and setup a couple outposts/bases in those area, but there's almost nothing in-between in terms of built-up areas. Incidentally, autosave prior to this one also fails with the same error. I did not try with all three yet.

I am not sure if I should post a new bug report or not, because I am still having the same issue I posted above but in 0.16.43. In other words, the fix did not solve my problem.

Yes, if you experience the issue in 16.43 make new report please, make sure to include log, save and the complete .ziped mods folder.
