what should I do to get it to work

Hi, this looks like a problem from some older version that remained in the config. Try deleting (or renaming) the file application_directory/config/config.ini and restarting factorio.

Hello ildhund.

My guess is you use Danish language setting. (No indication of language on your profile.)

After updating to 0.10.12 the exact same error was displayed when starting the game with Danish language.
I had to update the file Factorio\data\core\tips-and-tricks\da.json to the version I made during translation, in order to get the game running in Danish.
It worked fine with the English language setting.

I'm sorry, the purpose of this is to keep it less messy, not to accuse someone of posting something that was posted already.
But I will look better when deciding which thread to move to duplicates anyway
