Can't 'Browse public games' or 'play on LAN'

Hello, I love factorio, great game I have over 150 hours playing this game solo and multiplayer.
Although I have had a problem recently when trying to ‘Browse public games’ and ‘Play on LAN’ whenever I click on either of these I get this message.
Select failed: An operation was attempted on something that is not a socket.
I think it's something wrong on my pc not the game, because it's works fine on my laptop.
