[Rseding91] [0.16.27] wagon hint is not always displayed with blueprints

Factorio usually hints the position of wagons in train stations when things are placed in the vicinity of the station. this is also the case when using blueprints.

i use blueprints for my station designs. now i encountered a blueprint, where this is not the case with version 0.16.27. i recall that this blueprint had no issues with the former versions. (see edit at end of post)

i stripped the blueprint to drill down the problem and it seems it has something to do with the perpendicular extend of the blueprint, but i am not sure.

this blueprint does not show the hints when placed as intended:

if i however create a blueprint where the two splitters at the bottom are removed, the wagon hints are correctly displayed:

i created a sandbox testlevel where the screenshots are from and which contains the blueprints, see attached files.

EDIT: i did some further investigation and i must admit i was wrong. i went back to 0.16.22 and this blueprint does not trigger the hints there as well.

i was confused because i used to have this blueprint including the rails and i changed that recently. if rails are included, the hints are triggered in all versions. so i guess triggering the hints is the position of the (invisible) mouse pointer to be near the station. and if you use a blueprint that has its geometric center relatively far off the station, the hints are not triggered.

so all in all i guess this is not as much a bug but rather a feature request to have the hints triggered always if a ghost entity is to be placed near the station?!? :|

Thanks for the report. I changed it so it uses the bounding box of the entities in the blueprint to check what train stop indicators it should render instead of just the mouse position.

So in the next version of 0.16 if you're building a blueprint and any entity in the blueprint is near a train stop it will draw the markers.
