Cliff blasting explosives -> Extra use as canal blast charge

With the creation of Cliffs and the explosives to remove them, could we not make these Geoshaping Charges instead and add an alternate use for them that if they are used at a shoreline, they create a 3x3 area of water? This could allow players to reshape terrain including water, which as far as I'm aware is the only kind of alteration not yet available to players.

Could be handy if you could create a canal or two to your power plant.

[Edit] Or a moat to keep the biters out. :D

Well, creating canals eliminates the need for walls, as they are indestructable, and dont need repair.

When the water/cliffs are random, it does make interesting organic base shapes, as you try to use as much indestructable wall as possible.

yup would throw game balance out of wack. everyone would be building islands with a single choke point.

Or, maybe, allow bitters to cross shallow waters... Ballance saved ;)
