If miners can share pipes, why can't other buildings?

Topic is what it is, I guess it is just a question of game balance. It would seem more consistent to me for all fluid receiving assemblers to also have outputs the way the sulfuric acid drill does.

It would reduce the complexity of the piping puzzle you need to solve, to have all your assemblers hooked up. I think it'd be OK if it was limited to mk III assemblers, or a separate building.
