Dude, Where's My Car?

TL;DR
Arrows on the screen edge pointing different objects and waypoints.
What ?
Arrows, that points to (togglable in map options):
- nearest car and tank (or all cars and tanks/last used car nd tank/ all cars and tank within range)
- labels and/or waypoints on map (all/selected/within range)
- alerts (within certain distance from player)

I imagine, that labels on the map may be regular label, or a waypoint. You can choose to display both or only labels on map, and both/waypoints/none as arrows on the screen.
If I go to destroy some alien bases, I (too) often need to look into the map to verify directions. I wish to set some temporary label at the map, and just follow the pointer...
Also, last used and tank may be pointed that way. Indicating direction to the current attacks may be helpful as well.
Why ?
It's simple and useful feature.

Isn't this why cars already appear as a big triangle on the map/minimap?

It is, but this overlay has many more purposes than finding a car.

Using map while driving (it tank through enemy territory) is not very practical. I want to place waypoint(s) to some target (eg. big ore patch), and follow it, avoiding bases/lakes/woods/cliffs, not looking on the map constantly. Waypoints may have option do disappear after within certain range (=when reached).

We are need new "line-entity" (like wires right now: two positions will be connected together) or "line" GUI element (it must be visible only for this player, not for all) for it.
