Is there a way to make storage chests only store one ore more specific item types? That would help me get a better structure for my logistic system.

Currently there is no way to do it.

Devs are considering adding filters to storage chests to allow this to happen.
Buffer chests were intended to allow this as one of their features but they were not complete at release and might get fixed in the near future.
