does anyone know why my factorio don't wont to update past the 0.15.4 update I have looked all over to try to get it to up date put haven't been able to fine it

Do you play on the Steam version ? the "downloaded-from-Factorio-website one ?

Are you sure you are at 15.4 and not 15.40?!

SORRY IT IS 15.40. I JUST SEEN WHEN I WAS LOGING ON TO PLAY THE GAME THE OTHER DAY I WAS STILL LOADING THE 15.40 WHEN THE 0.16 HAS BEEN RELEASED OR HAS IT NOT BEEN A FULL RELEASE TO EVERYONE YET. SORRY I PROBLY SOUND LIKE AN IDIOT I'M NOT REALLY GOOD WITH THIS KIND OF STUFF. I NORMALY DONT CARE ABOUT THE UPDATES FOR GAMES BUT I AM ACUTLLY LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS ONE.

No need to capslock here.
Factorio 0.16.X versions are, other than the stable 0.15.40, experimental releases with lots of bugs and crashes.
If you want to update your Factorio to 0.16, right click on Factorio in your Steam library -> Properties -> Betas -> Select "0.16.x - Latest 0.16 experimental" (it's at the very bottom of that dropdown menu).

lol never noticed the caps where on till after post. any thanks everyone for clearing that up. I was starting to wonder that thanks again
