[16.6] Default logistic request count for modules is wrong

This has been bugging me for quite a while, but I finally get around to report it now.
When you request any kind of module in your logistic request slots, it defaults to 10, even though modules can stack up to 50. All other items by default request one full stack, so modules should too.
This issue affects all 9 module items currently in the game.

The rest is left as one stack.

Thanks for linking that post with context on why it currently is the way it is. I still think we should re-think that decision though.
That change was done 2 years ago in 0.11, and the reason was that users didn't want robots to send a full stack right away before they could change the value. Now there is an option in the interface settings for exactly that, so you can choose to have a default logistic request count of 1 instead of stack size -- so people who are afraid of getting delivered too many items should play with that option. This essentially means that the reason why this change was done, no longer exists.
I personally, 99% of the time, want a full stack of items I request; having to change the value every time is pretty annoying. Having an exception to the 'default value = one full stack' rule just for modules also adds inconsistency to the game.

you are welcome. yeah, what i think should be done, is return it to full stack size, but default to logistic size being 1.
with a popup tip saying if you want full stack sizes go into options and change it. then it's a one time change for those that always want full stack sizes.
me i set it to 1, adjust as needed. i hate having robots take a full stack, machines make more into the logistic network.
then the bots take what i don't want back taking up storage space.

Personally I would rather not change it. For about 60% of the things I request from the logistics network, I want a full stack or multiple stacks of the item (iron, belts, rails, fast inserters, green circuits). For about 30% I want about 80% of a stack. I often have these things set to autotrash at 1 stack (splitters, undergrounds, long handed inserters, turrets, assembly machines). I want most of a stack of them all the time, but don't need a full stack, and don't want the bots coming to empty my trash if I deconstruct something, only to then bring the item back 30 seconds later if I rebuild it slightly differently. (Despite this preference, often I never actually get around to adjusting the request size for these items from the default of one stack. One stack is close enough).
For about 10% of of things I want the request to default to a small quantity like 10. (This includes things like accumulators, modules, electric/steel/stone furnaces). These are things I might request form the network occasionally, then delete the request afterwards. When I ask for these things, I generally want a few, and occasionally want a lot. I would prefer these things to not default to a whole stack, because I don't want the bots to grab 50 lvl 3 modules before I can adjust the request amount, causing that assembly line to produce another 50 lvl 3 modules.
I would also rather also not turn my default request size down to 1 for everything, because for most things I do want quantities of 80% of a stack or more. For modules in particular, I typically either want a few for a couple of assemblers, sometimes a specific number for a specific layout, or a lot (eg 400) for something like a bot base outpost. If it's a specific number, or a lot, then I'll want to manually adjust the request size anyway. (I'll admit that if I'm at the stage of the game where I'm doing bot based outposts, then I probably don't care about making an extra 50 modules. But since I'm going to want to set quantity anyway, 10 is just as good as 1 or 50).

i'm saying to have the logistic request stack of 1 in options enabled by default.
unchecking it would give you full stacks again.

Sorry I wasn't clear. I actually wrote that as a reply to Linnun. But then you posted your comment before I posted mine. I'll add a quote to make that clear.

ah, gotcha.
