just playing a modded world when i had a random crash, i douubt it was any of the mods.
i was bootstrapping yellow underground belts at the time of crash.

The screenshot looks like you were just placing (or removing) that power pole. If that is true, this is likely related this bug: viewtopic.php?f=30&t=55176

The linked bug is marked as 'fixed in 16.6'.
