[0.16.4] 'Iron plate cannot be smelted', can't make steel

Seems it's no longer possible to smelt steel in stone furnaces. It was possible before and so says wiki. Intended?
Only base game mod.

Not a Bug.

You need to research "steel processing"

I feel stupid now... Been a while since starting a new game and forgot such basics
