[0.16.0] PVP.lua attempt to index field 'game_mode'

On loading a save game from 0.15.x that started as a pvp game, but continued as a solo game I get the message "Error while running event level::on_tick(ID 0) ../<some path>/currently_playing/pvp.lua:1576: attempt to index field 'game_mode' (a nil value).
I had this issue in 0.16.0 - 0.16.3.

It means I cannot load my old save game in 0.16.x.
I attached the pvp.lua file just in case.

Let me know if more input is desired, I can share the save game if that would help.

Added the Save game and logfile. I hope it's the right logfile, let me know if anything more is needed.

Sorry, it wasn't really expected that people would continue an old PvP game into 0.16, so I didn't write it with migrations

Anyway, here is a 0.16 version of your save that should work:

Ty very much Klonan, much appreciated!
We used PvP as a way to coop whilst having our own bases and tech tree. So when time didn't allow for multiplay much I decided to continue the map in a solo fashion.

Hello Klonan.
Will this be fixed in future updates? I have the same issue. My save is attached. I will appreciate if you'll be able to fix it for me or post some solution that I can apply myself :roll:
