Whenever I launch the game through steam the game shows the regular loading screen. After a while the loading bar disappears and only the letter "L" shows up. The loading bar disappears and only some numbers (which I assume is the percentage of the game loaded) show up, although they're glitchy as well. I didn't take a screenshot of this, and now I can't because the game loads about 46% without the loading screen glitch and gives the error shown in the log and screenshot below.

If anyone could please help me fix this or tell me the cause I'd be grateful. Thanks in advance.

iMac (27-inch, Late 2012)
2.9 GHz Intel Core i5
8 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660M 512 MB

Hi, thanks for the report.
We have improved computer capabilities dectection and applying better default graphics settings for 0.16.
In meantime try to open Factorio properties in Steam Library and set launch options to

Code: Select all

--video-memory-usage=medium
