Finding Existing Prototypes

Hello,
I am currently teaching myself to create mods for Factorio and am fairly new to modding and Lua. I am interested in creating an electric mining drill mod that filters what kind of ore it mines, so i am looking for the prototypes for a mining drill and filter inserter for reference. There's the Factorio folder in my user directory where mods are stored, and then there is the Factorio folder in the Steam folder. I havent been able to find what i am looking for in either. What should do or where should I look?
