Hi,

I would like to craft automated portals that open when player or train are coming nearby. It should be powered by electricity. Player can place rail through the portal.

For teletransportation? Like the game Portal, from Valve? Or a fixed one?

I think the OP is trying to create automatic gats for trains and player which he could integrate with walls so only he or his trains can enter his walled in base.

Now in Friday Facts #39 developers did mention their intent on implementing gates into vanila game. But currently they are more focused on multiplayer. So all we have to do is wait.
