Hello all

I've not been able to connect to a multiplayer game for about 9 months now, We had a factorio tech support guru HanziQ(he may remember?) in our discord to try figure out what the problem was with no success.

I think the problem may be account related since i've tried on 3 different pc's and lot of different networks and get the same server side message the whole time - User verification failed.

Yes i am logged in to my account in game and also the factorio website and even on the forums.....

however , same issue. Also when people try to connect to me they get a different message... cannot verify external ip address.


Can my account be reset. This game is no good when 10 of my mates are playing on our server and i can't connect to it.

I unlinked your Steam account,
Can you try creating a new account and linking it, and seeing if that resolves the issue

I'm afraid its probably your local network configuration,
Your PC, router, firewall or ISP may be blocking or filtering the necessary Factorio networking

Ok i think i may have figured out the problem can you please de-link account factorio098 from it's steam account
