Robots keep turning back to Roboport where they left off

Hi all,
I noticed that on one of my remote outposts, the robots keep turning back to the roboports where they left off, instead of flying to their destination. I believe this is due to their destination being the main base, far away.
Why are the robots not flying via the roboports? And how can I get the robots out of this loop?

the top and bottom networks are connected? if so you should consider separating them.

Or you build roboports along the flight path so they can recharge, but separating the networks is the better method.

To clarify a bit, bots try to take the straight-line shortest route to their destination. If they run out of juice along the way, the repath to the nearest roboport to recharge. So if you really want this to work, run a line of roboports along the shortest path from A to B so they can recharge without totally turning back.

By the way, the straight-line pathing is because any smarter way would use a ton of CPU time and make the game run slower in large bases.

Oh, and while we're on the subject... don't expect your bots to fly over that many biter bases and survive to get to the other side

Thx for the feedback everyone

I think I'm gonna seperate the networks then..
Cheers!
