Problems with nazi symbols on steam

Maybe some people would say : try to don't mind this.(but for me i never can watch away!)

I see more and more Factorio pictures on Steam with svatiska symbols. I report them. But it feels like Steam don't mind this.

Do you (the devs or mods) have full control of the Factorio Community HUB and can delete them too? Or can conntact Steam they have to do this?

It would be nice if there were a way to delete them all...

I can not understand why some "clever" people playing Factorio made by devs from a country Hitler wanted to destroy...

Sorry if this post is useless..

The Swastika is not a Nazi symbol. It is far older and has different meanings.
Hitler actually used it because of the good fortune meaning.

So unless the context is clearly National socialistic (in which case steam would act) there is no reason to delete anything containing that shape.

Sorry to break it to you, but everybody knows exactly what society interprets the swastika to mean. If somebody is making a swastika, they aren't using it for "good fortune," they're using it to be edgy. I think this is just an issue that Steam doesn't care much about regardless, I wouldn't imagine they put much work into moderating screenshots people post.

It does seem to violate Steam terms of service:
http://steamcommunity.com/discussions/f ... 870398506/

But Steam isn't likely to remove anything until it gets reported. They don't monitor every single thing that gets posted, and they don't want to have to start doing that as it could be a liability issue for them. Once they start pre-filtering any content then people are going to argue they should do that for everything and then that they're responsible for anything that gets posted... They're a US company and i believe the safest thing for them to do under US law is to just let people post anything and pull it down only after it gets reported.

If the same user gets reported enough times they should get banned though so just keep reporting it if it bothers you I guess.

To me it's just a geometric shape w/o meaning until it gets put into a context. (I'm German btw).

I actually ended up with swastika-like structures in my solar fields once w/o realizing it until I looked at it from radar perspective. :X

Thats not true, he knew alot about religion (he was a jew) and took the old sun svatiska ( left site[the indian symbol] ) and formed it into the black svatika,(right site)[Btw, there is alot "wrong" stuff in wikipedia...]
The other point is, the only reason why people would use this symbol is, cuz they are not religious...

Yes i know, but they don't use the black form, only the "sun" form. You should know this, if you can talk like you talk. Cuz not only buddist use this symbol. For buddist it's the footprint of budda, for the sanskrit speaking guys it means “conducive to well-being”. And the other dozen also used it(mesopotania/roman/vikings...)

This"just" can be dangours. You know, a weapon is "just" a weapon, but with the wrong people it can go all wrong.

As a german, like me, you should have something like an "alert". You know that the right populism is coming back(slowly, but hungry aswell). And today kiddies playing with it and feeling great! :/
Btw. this symbol is in the CAESAR game series one of the best economical layout structures I found out for myself..

Yeah, I only hope we can walk with wide open eyes over this planet and take care that this scenario will never come back again.
Reporting it to Steam is an option i used alot :/

To make it simple:
If you see content that violates the steam community guide, then flag it via the built in flag feature.
I do not see this discussion going anywhere useful except a dev answering these questions:

so this topic is now locked.
