[wheybags] [0.15.33][Linux] Unusually High Audio CPU usage
Posted: Mon Aug 28, 2017 1:28 am
With Factorio open at the main menu, with only the menu music playing, my PulseAudio daemon's CPU usage is spiking to almost 20+%.
I observed its CPU usage during other times of load such as playing music from a media player or playing other games (usually 0-5% usage), and it is clear that this spike in usage occurs with Factorio alone.
In-game, in the few small worlds that I tested, PulseAudio CPU usage reaches over 30%. I do not have any large worlds to test it in at the moment.
I am not sure if this is a problem with Allegro or the game itself, but I thought I'd mention it. I am willing to troubleshoot more or aid in testing if needed.
Factorio Version: 0.15.33
PulseAudio Version: 10.0-3
ALSA Version: 1.1.4.1-1
Kernel: 4.12.8-2-ARCH
Additional specs in log file
