It seems that RR track can only do hard 45° turns. It'd be nice to get some 22.5° ("half") turns, or even "quarter" turns, to allow closer spacing of track.

In the attached image, the bend/merge I want to make is indicated by the green arrow. What I'm forced to do is shown by the red line. The yellow arrows are just there to show 1-way track (and a 2-way spur off to a mine).

i think this belongs in suggestions instead of bug reports.

Correct. Nothing about this is a bug report.

if you space your tracks one track further apart this isn't an issue.
