Nuclear Powered Trains

My suggestion is simple. I love trains and I love nuclear power. So I come to you all with a proposal: Why not both?

We can load up cars, tanks, and trains with wood, wood objects, coal, solid fuel and rocket fuel. What if we could give cars, tanks and trains (or maybe just trains) nuclear power cells? We already have the infrastructure and the tech to do it, so it would be as easy as putting it in the fuel slot and watching it run. Imagine how fast a nuclear powered train could go, and how long it could sustain that speed on just one nuclear fuel cell. That's what I want to see.

Thank you for your consideration, keep making this game amazing!

Because you can burn all of the other things you mentioned in a steam engine, but nuclear fuel cells require a nuclear reactor.

there's a mod for that... Nuclear Locomotive also More Trains has a nuclear locomotive that blows up and does damage. They share a name so I don't recommend both together.

I guess this thread can now be moved to implemented (in 0.16).

See this thread for more information:
